Project Overview
The welded aluminum lattice box truss was designed by F. A Roberts & Associates Ltd to meet the specific requirements of CN Rail and AASHTO Standard Specifications for Structural Supports for Highway Luminaires and Traffic Signals. This 3-track cantilevered structure was fabricated by Custom Steel Manufacturing Ltd of Winnipeg for CN Rail.
The light weight, aluminum structure was designed for ease of erection with the attractive but low maintenance finish naturally afforded by aluminum.
The welded aluminum connections are designed for strength and long term fatigue resistance.
